Beverly Grove, not to be confused with its neighbor, West Hollywood, is a mid-Los Angeles neighborhood that continues to see rapid change and development. What was once a quieter, older neighborhood is now a vibrant community with a growing number of condos, houses, and McMansions.
This flourishing neighborhood, aptly named in part for the beautiful orchards that thrived here in the city’s youth, was founded in the 1920’s and is walking distance to the original Los Angeles Farmer’s Market, located on 3rd and Fairfax. This historic market, now a popular brunch spot, opened in 1934 and featured fresh produce from local farmers. Because of its prime location, there are a wide variety of interesting places to shop and dine, also within walking distance.
Once at the forefront of entertainment and design, The Beverly Center was the first mall to host a 14-screen movie theater. Currently, under architectural regeneration, the official completion date is projected to be around Holiday 2018. Top brands and major retailers, including Versace Collection, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, and more, have been housed here for years.
